E-dul Fitri 1930 Hijriah

Tomorrow is a very special day for Moslems. They will celebrate the 1st day of Syawal 1930 Hijriah. Which means the end of Ramadhan.

I just realized how different this year between other ‘lebaran’ I’ve been through in my life. I still remember when I was in elementary school, ‘lebaran’ card was so famous. Everyone used it to congratulate each other in ‘lebaran’ day. But, ever since everybody has cell phone, the card is no longer effective and replaced by SMS. And of course there’re any other way to congratulate from other media such as e-card, e-mail, etc.

But now, people are more creative than I’ve ever expected. E-card is no longer sent from e-mail. Now, the e-card is uploaded to facebook, and it’s being tagged to friends and relatives!!

And blackberry made it even easier. People send it via BBM (blackberry messenger).

But anyway, no matter how you congratulate each other for tomorrow, I’d like to say:

Happy Birthday Indonesia!

Yesterday, August 17, all Indonesian commemorated Indonesia’s independence day. And I didn’t attend the flag ceremony. This is my second year for not attending the ceremony. And, I can’t deny how I miss the ceremony. Standing for about an hour, wearing cap, wearing uniform. Howa, I miss those things.

The euphoria of independence day still exist here. Many races, competition, and events were held to commemorate it. The carnival also.

And one special thing in this Indonesia’s 64th birthday is 2486 scuba divers successfully broke the world record for “most people scuba diving simultaneously” in Bunaken. The divers unfurled Indonesia’s flag underwater, and they did all of the ceremony stage underwater including read the proclamation text.

Oh yeah, I forgot something. Maybe most Indonesian felt yesterday was very different than other Indonesia Independence day. Like what posted before, there’s 2 bombing issues in Indonesia last month. And couple days ago, Indonesia’s special detachment, densus 88 just did their best to eradicate terrorism in Indonesia. Even though the one who was killed wasn’t Noordin M Top, but hey let’s appreciate what they’ve done to our country!

And those supports to densus 88 and other supports to eradicate terrorism in Indonesia strengthen us to unite. Anyway, #IndonesiaUnite was being #1 the trending topic on twitter ^^.

Wow, this 64th birthday is so special! Indonesia, I wish you all the best!! Love you so my country!! ^^

Another Bomb Issue In Indonesia

These recent years, somehow I feel so secure, here in Indonesia. Seems like things are getting better.

But, this morning, when I checked my twitter, the first thing I saw was a very disappointing news:

“Bomb Explotion in Jakarta”

After a 4-years calm, FGS!

Two luxurious hotel in Jakarta: JW Marriott and Ritz Carlton Hotel just exploded by a bomb this morning. Killed 9 people and injured at least 50 people. But thanks God, 4 hours after the explosions, the police has sealed-off the area. Guests from both hotels immediately evacuated to more secure area.

Oh, please, bombers! What the hell is in your head??? Indonesia has better image on International level recent years! And you just screwed it up!!! It’s a very big disappointment!

But one thing that can make me smile today is the so-called ‘trending topics’ on twitter. Because now #inonesiaunite is on number 1 trending topics! That means, many Indonesian people really care about what happen in their country, they united to make a better Indonesia. And you know what? I’m so proud to be Indonesian.

C’mon Indonesia! Let’s unite!

Apres Election

Hi fellas, I was off for mid-exams and now I’m back!

July 8th, 2 days ago was the Election day, here, in Indonesia. Do you guys use your vote?

To be honest I just had no idea who would I choose. The debate weren’t absorbing. It was quite (or maybe I could say terribly) boring and wasn’t to the point. I reluctantly watched it. Sometimes, I just watched it for several minutes than I changed the channel or maybe just forgot the TV and busy with my macbook.

Simply, I wasn’t really care and didn’t give too much attention nor preparation for yesterday’s election.

But when the election day came. My Mom and Dad insisted me to use my vote. They said not to be a bad citizen. So, finally I used my vote. But when the voting paper already in my hand, I successfully opened and I saw those candidates photos. Owraits, I’ll vote. But right after I made the decision, I just realized, I DIDN’T KNOW WHICH PART OF THE PAPER THAT I SHOULD GIVE A MARK??? The boxes? Or the photos? or the number?

Oh, My Gosh. I really had no idea.

So, I just want to remind you guys… Read and understand the procedures before you vote. Don’t be like silly-me. :p

ANTM-ing Along The Short Semester

So, what’s ANTM? I believe, most of you already know what ANTM is. It’s America’s Next Top Model. Just google it peeps, then you’re gonna find lotta talented model!

So far it already reach the 12th cycle. But I just watched the cycle 11. The winner in the 11th cycle is McKey. But, she’s not my favorite anyway. My favorite was Samantha!! Yes, Samantha! It’s not because she got the same name as my macbook. But because she’s soooo… Err, sooooo… humble i think.

iPhone 3G S

Yesterday, my friend informed me about iPhone 3G S. I never checked any updates about apple recently. Oh, gosh, seriously, their products never failed me! Last info I got about apple was they has released the OS 3.0 for iPhone and OS Snow Leopard will be released on September 2009. When I saw those updates I just didn’t notice whether there was a new ‘apple creature’ named iPhone 3G S!

Last Shocking Moment On Britain’s Got Talent

Wow, it’s been a very long time since my last post here. Well, anyway I just re-activated my old blog on tumblr.com because I’m getting bored of my blogger.com blog and my blog on multiply. Well, yes, it’s easy for me to get bored to things.
